weird since i still remember this day. inaalok pa ako ng tatay ko ng beer nung time na yan eh. haha! sabi nila, kahit daw maglakad, parang pato daw ako. kembot dun. kembot dyan. ugly duckling. kaya siguro swan na ako ngayonnnnn!!!!!!

naglalakad ako sa mall nang biglang nagtutut ang selepono ko. its candy!! candy-soccer. candy-hindi ko na nakakausap mula soccer. candy-masarap pakinggan ang tawa. si candy. isang buong taon kong ninais na malaman ang selepono number niya. weird nga lang at hindi ko na lang siya nilapitan para tanungin ito.


nakita ko si tintin, nagmessage (friendster) sa akin si kate - my dear dear classmates nung grade school pa ako. :D


pinuntahan din ako ni julian. mahaba na ang buhok niya at sabog na ang pagkikilos. haha! tinanung ko pa sa kanya.. "huy! sabog ka ba ngayon??" rude. :D


weird. pagnakakilala ka ng isang tao dati... then you'd lose communication with them for quite a long time... they'll become just a part of your past. just a little fragment of it. if you won't be able to see them again, you'll think that they were just creations of your imagination. were they really there? was she the one who gave me this handkechief. all we hold on to are memories of them. some vague, some truly clear like it just happened moments ago. it all depends on whether they were able to shake your life and leave a mark on you. pano kung hindi? they'll remain as memories. and once you see them again, talk to them once more, you'd pinch yourself and ask whether she/he is really there on the other line.. or across your table..


ive done a lot of pinching yesterday. now i know they're still there.

summer na pala! ngayon ko lang naramdaman dahil ngayon lang kami nagswimming. pumunta lang kaming clubhouse and.. tsanaaa!!! pool!! that's our desperate attempt to have a great, chlorine-based summer.


actually, its pathetic. but, what the heck?


masaya naman and we agreed to do that every other day. kaitiman!!! yay!!


santacruzan na dito samin... i really thought i would get chosen as the glamorous sta elena.. not.


oh, ima gonna have a guitar na on wednesday. tatay dear is going to cebu on tuesday and will be comming back the day after with my guitar. binilhan na niya ako dati ngunit hiniram ito ng aking kuya, sinabing nasa klasmeyt niya and after two years, i find it under the bed, broken.


wow. haha!


so, this was how my summer started.
yeh! parang hindi pa enough sign ang kainitan.

its maan's birthday tomorrow. yay! :D sa pagaakalang may talento ako sa gitara, they asked me to play "Crazy for You" sa burdey. been strumming all day long.. and im no expert. result: crazy hurting fingers. :D then, tumawag ang Karell kanina upang sabihing ako bibili ng 18 na rosas para sa aming kebigan. aba! wala ata ang tinang itong pera! kaya, gumawa na lang ako gamit ang crepe paper at bbq sticks. ahiii! :D

mahirap pag last minute ang preparations para sa isang burday. but i bet, Maan will love everything we prepared. kung hindi, lulunurin ko siya. haha! :D Its really fun doing things for your friends. lalo na kung sanay kang sila ang gumagawa ng mga bagay para sa iyo.

something i notice when the light was just right.

ilang linggo na ang nakakaraan nang tumawag si tita Papat.. tinanong niya ako kung pwede akong sumama sa kanilang tapusan.

tapusan - a.k.a. flores de mayo. but the girls in gowns just carry letters which spell AVE MARIA. they'd walk across town and go back to the chapel to offer their styropore letters, flowers and prayers.

so, wala nang posisyon.. walang reyna emperatriz.. reyna sentensyada.. etc.

but then, one of the girls backed out.. and their next candidate was this girl with a twin sister. unfortunately, their mom won't allow her other daughter to miss all the fuss and fun, so she said that they should (our relatives) get the whole package or none at all. and so, they did and, being the last person in the line (im the tallest one there), instead of just carrying the last letter, i carried a cross, walked with a partner, and yes, thus, named Reyna Elena.



we walked at the side of the road but they realized that we should be at the middle of one lane. so, they shouted..

"sa gitna!! pakiusog naman ang mga dalaga sa gitna!!" .. at pumunta ako sa gitna ng kalsada. hindi sa gitna ng lane... sa gitna ng mismong kalsada! ako lang ang gumawa nun at hindi pa ako sinamahan ng partner ko. salamat sa kahihiyan. haha! buti walang sasakyan nun. napagtawanan tuloy ako ng mga nanunuod.. tae.

masaya naman siya. hindi masyadong malayo ang nilakad. nasa likod namin ang nagbubuhat sa karo na may Mama Mary. eh may part ng road na pataas. so, nung pabalik na kami, pababa na. eh masyado kaming mabilis maglakad so, nahuhuli ang mga matatandang nagdadasal. so kailangang huminto. shet, nakikita ko ung mga mukha ng mga nagbubuhat... sobrang ang asim kase nga ang bigat nun tas pababa pa kami so doble. haha! katawa. :D *sama. :D





all throughout the parade, i kept on laughing. laughing at the situation, at myself even. i just kept on asking what i was doing. parang.. "oh my.. tama ba to?...." but then, i think, i really wanted this. deep inside, i wanted to be the reyna for once. the one who's at the end of the line with the cross, the crown and the partner.
